Gourmet Treats
We recommend trying some of the most authentic Coorg delicacies, especially those prepared with coconut, curry leaves, ginger and chilly. Visit Coorg Cuisinette, which is located below the KSRTC bus stand. A must try here is kadambuttu (rice balls), which is served with pork or chicken. The restaurant at Alath-Cad Holiday Retreat is another popular place to try out local cuisine. The Granary serves traditional Coorg food from its fixed menu. Located on the outskirts is Hotel Coorg International, which serves a range of Indian, Chinese and Continental. On M.G. Road, below Raja's Seat is restaurant Rajdarshan, a place that serves Indian and Chinese cuisine. A must-try there is their special palak paneer (spinach along with cottage cheese).
