Best Time to Visit: October-March, when the temperatures are not too high. If you can brave the summer heat though, the ideal time would be visiting the city during the Urs Festival.

Clothing: Loose cotton attire is preferable all-year through. During winters pack some light woollens.

Moving around: Ajmer is a relatively small town and easy enough to get around on foot. However plenty of auto-rickshaws, cycle-rickshaws and Tongas are available to move around. If you must, rent a private vehicle that comes with experienced drivers-cum-guides.
