Clothing: Tropical clothing throughout the year; Light woolens during winter and adequate raingear during the monsoons

Moving around: Cabs and private taxis are available for hire from the various agencies or hotels. However, we recommend hiring a bike or the motorcycle taxi, which lets you explore the interiors of the city on your own. These are extremely affordable and can be hired for day-use or for two-three days.
