Travelguru acquires Desiya in a landmark deal
Ground breaking acquisition to change the face of the Indian hospitality industry

Mumbai, December 20, 2007: In a move to redefine the online travel terrain in the country, Travelguru - India’s largest hotel network, has signed a strategic agreement to acquire As an industry first, this acquisition of a company focused on hotel aggregation, distribution and technology works to further strengthen Travelguru’s leadership position in hotel distribution.

This deal brings together Travelguru’s leading consumer facing hotel booking product and sizeable hotel network with Desiya’s leading hotel aggregation platform. This powerful backward integration will drive much more value to key stakeholders including end customers, partners and hotels. This all adds up to advantages including better deals for consumers and more hotel options than ever before.
